This is a living tree and the carved Nuthatch as been attached where a limb as been removed.. the seat is just wide enough for me to sit on... so it must be ment for two.. ha! Again this was part of the sculpture trail... this trail as been added this year and I have not been able to find any information on it as yet.
I will show the next set of pictures from this set on Friday, to join in with Rune's bench post..... so theres a clue as to whats in store. Tomorrow I will show you two old stone posts with inscriptions.... I hope you can join me then as I need help deciphering one ;o)

A seat fit for King Tom.
Amazing what you can add to a living tree!
I've never seen these - I must check this park out sometime.
Imac... I did sit there for a while.... and it was very comfy leaning back into the trunk. I of course checked it for spiders and such... ha!
What a beautiful carving. And that bench isn't probably big enough pour moi! :)

Hi Tom, I have been scarce for a while, as my blogging ran out of steam. But I am back.
First off popped in to see how you were doing. Seems like you are on quite a roll with the blogging.
This park looks quite amazing.
I will be popping in again.
Regards to Jane.
I like that little tree bench! Of course the carving enhances it tremendously
I love the nuthatch - both the bird and the carving.
Did you say the inscriptions were in Latin? I probably won't be much help there.
Tom: Cool nuthatch in a great position.
Adding a carving to a tree where a branch has been cut off is a novel idea...and looks great here!
What an awesome park! I loved this one and the ones in your previous post as well.
Someone has an awesome talent.
Another interesting bench find. I feel a bit sorry for the tree to have to accommodate a human sitting above its roots.
