This really does remind one of a turkey tail. And it is quite beautiful. You did an excellent job taking this picture, Tom. The turkey was an American bird and unknown in Europe. I wonder what it was called before people saw the first turkeys? Surely it had a different name. Time to do some research, Tom.
Polyporus versicolor was its latin name before we knew the turkey.
