While looking through my folders for a suitable picture for my header challenge post I came across the above pictures... and more of the same. I will show Canal Views for a few days I hope you enjoy them.

I think canals are fascinating. And some of them are suitable to live in I suppose. I wonder if they have to pay taxes like a person would if they owned a house.

Great shots and I love the reflections in the top two. :)

Snap!! I also posted barges today! Saw them for the first time on our first England holiday two years ago - found them all so fascinating .. the barges, canals locks and all the barge people we came across.
Great photos - love the header with happy dolphins!

Wonderful work Tom, you certainly worked well on wiggers world narrow boat too.
I think narrow boat folk would have to pay for their mooring fees but I guess not council taxes to answer Abe's thoughts.

There was a barge for sale on Ebay 2 weeks ago for £75,000... the mooring fees were £270 per month... Then there's the licence from British waterways and proberly other hidden costs.

Just lovely Tom. There is something so peaceful about barging around England and stopping off at lovely old pubs.
Just did not know you had dolphins in your canal system ... they are so cute.

Tom, your kind comment on my skywatch is refusing to upload, I'll have to scratch my head for a bit how to transfer it.

The weather was a bit gloomy, mate.
Though the first one was brilliant.

I always wanted to do a canal boat trip from London to Bristol!

London Calling..... cheers for commenting... I did go over to your blog to say thank you... you have some stunning pictures there.... but I cannot read your postings or see where to leave a comment... for some reason all I see are little square boxes.. ;o(

Ah, dolphins in the canals - bright idea. I have always wanted to rent a boat and wander along the canals, but so far...

That's funny.
Wordpress supports a lot of stuff, one of them is multi-lingual display. I don't think you have to change you settings to view my posts.

Let me log in from another PC to check it out.

Anyway, thanks for visiting. ;-)

When I saw the canal boat I thought maybe you had given up being a land lover and taken to the waterways:) They are a fascinating remnant to a former industrial age. I visit a web site of a couple that live in such a boat year round.
