Flowers No.5

I am dedicating this post to my friend and fellow blogger Patty Lincoln as a somewhat belated birthday gift.... There is still time to nip over and leave a message for this fine lady, and whilst there have a look at her blog... I can assure you that you will come away with a smile on your face..

I have enjoyed showing off these 'macro's, and I hope that it might go some way to encourage others to use that 'little flower' setting. I have had some good results in the past with it but I think these have pleased me most. Thank you all who commented, it goes a long way to inspire me to do more and try out different ways of getting shots to show here.

I have posted these now as tomorrow I will be joining in with a theme day... Fishing Guy came up with the idea of picking a theme each week for the 'Header' at the top of his blog, Imac, Darla and myself liked the idea to and it's now on it 3rd week and I get to pick the theme this week.. It will kick off tomorrow evening at 8pm GMT

I love Lady Lincoln's blog. Behind that pleasant benign face is a very funny lady who must be a joy to be around. Happy Birthday to her.

Why thank you Tom, now we need to know when your next birthday will be coming up. I want to thank you and Jane for popping over and wishing me a Happy Birthday. Your new baby in the family is a cutie pie for sure. I don't have to prepare dinner tonight, one daughter is bringing in Chinese take out. I love Hot Sour Soup and Kung Pao Chicken. A little spicy, but to my liking. I use to have to laugh at the one waitress we had when we would go to the restaurant to eat, when I would place my order, she would say, ohh picy, hot and picy, never heard the s sound. Just like she would say when she saw us, the Winkons are here.

Have a great evening, it just started raining here. Typical fall day. We have the joy of changing all of our clocks this coming Saturday which is also Trick or Treat night here in our neighborhood. I have a feeling if it rains, there won't be many walking around.

You've done well. . . I love to try macros. BUT I am having some trouble with my new camera and the 20 digital zoom. I get far too many blurs and I knew how to do a macro with my 10 digital zoom. . . but I keep trying.

Tom, your little flower setting seems to get closer than mine...sometimes I hanker after a real macro as well, especially when I see what VALKYRIEN produces on her blog.
