Wiggers World - Header Challenge - Celebration .....
If is plastic it must be plastic fantastic - you could have fooled me :-) If they have used recycled plastic to make them, it must be a great use of the material, although I must admit that I prefer wood. Maybe Norwegian Wood)? ;-)
Hi RuneYes it's plastic... I'm sure the company that makes these also makes fencing and fence posts from recycled plastics... and our local council is also using recyleced plasitis formed into curb stones as well.
Recycled plastic eh - ah'll not say what I was going to say - must get to visit the new cafe in the park soon.
I've just done a quick check up on our councils website and came up with the following..."We have had benches, picnic benches, planters, fencing and litter bins manufactured from recycled plastic and made by our partners Sweepwise . All the items are in use in the Tameside area especially the benches in schools and cemeteries."
A wonderful use of recyclable plastic.
LOOKS like wood from here. Nice recycling project. And the flowers are lovely.
Beautiful pics Tom. Nice thing with the plastic is it doesn't need to be refinished and you don't get slivers in the butt ;)Nice post and thanks for sharing.Smiles
Inviting picture, Tom. And thanks for doing the research on that bench.I've come across recycled picnic tables here that are as durable and solid as teak. It's good to see good use being made of rubbish.
A environmentally friendly bench in beautiful surroundings.Nice! Very nice! :)
Beautiful pictures of Hyde Park. I live in the US now but lived in Hyde in the late sixties and remember Hyde park quite well. I'm very new to blogging so just getting around the sites. I'm always looking for info & pics of the Hyde area. Thank you
Good use for recycled plastic. Bravo!
LOVE it Tom!!
