Sky Watch

What can you see?

Photobucket
...
I have shown this on my blog before, but it was on one of the posts that I resently lost. Long story but it was a mistake I made that wiped out over 3 years worth of photos from Google Albums.. it left all my past post with no pictures. Resently I wiped the achive from here and started afresh, without putting all my eggs in one basket.. :O)

That's a real shame about your pictures.
There seems to be lots to see in the post.
If I use my imagination it looks like a view of the earth from space, also I see what looks like a ghostly hand in two of the squares. Other than that I have no idea but I'm very intrigued.

Tom - in this case I see fingers!

PS Saf to hear about the loss of your pictures. I use external hard disks - several in fact.

I meant to add that it is nice to see you again posting to Sky Watch. It brings back fond memories from those early days when there weren't nearly as many of us. :)

I did of course have back ups in hi res.. of all my pictures.. I have many many disks full of them now. Whayt I lost was the images that google saves each time I posted on my blogs.. I never realised that google save the images in albums. I looked at Google Albums after getting an email saying I was running out of space... The pictures I saw were very olds ones of Land Rover stuff from a forum I use to run... I deleted them all... not realise the pictures in my posts here had been linked to these folders.. Thats how I lost them... It was over 3 years worth of postings, it would have taken me far to long to sort out the pictures from disk, resized and then upload them. Starting afresh felt better.. ha!

Thank you for your comments... I will be posting on Sky Watch when ever I can but will not commit to it all the time.. I think the main thing is that blogging is fun.. if it becomes to much of a chore I need to rest a while from it. What I do like about blogging is coming across folks like you and Rune.. I count my blessing with the friends I've made on here..

Sad to hear about your photos Tom. I have been having a little trouble with my computer/blogger/the teenager upstairs anyway I have just started to save my backup blog posts and photos on an external drive. Great cloud captures....I too see the hand of the Creator. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.

I totally echo your words on blogging about the fun element. It's why I don't blog as much daily now. I am gutted about your images. As a photographer that does bring me out in cold sweats. I now have back ups of my back ups. Ia mad artist at work frantically painting the sky that can't decide on a colour. The fingers some have seen are of course his handprint. Obviously I am totally mad, but you knew that anyway.

You might be able to get many of those pictures back, Tom. Go to Yahoo, and type in your URL for your blog. Then look at the list that comes up. At the bottom of each list will be "cached" and click that and your old posts will come up or some of them. You can right click on and save the photos and the text from each post.

Have a nice weekend.

Your photos also remind me of sphinx paws for some reason!

Great shots for the imagination to work overtime!

I suppose it's several skies in a collage ! I never trust Bloogle Glogger again either. The pictures of a whole post have disappeared, and it was a reportage about the Brussels'Christmas market. Only the text was left. And not only this, checking back on other posts some pictures had disappeared too. Now I use Photobucket and some others. As you say not all eggs in one basket, that's just like the bank accounts, lol !

OH NO! I can't believe you've lost so many photos! Sounds like something I might do...but so far I've only erased a whole day's worth of photos on a memory card.

I see EEEs in the bottom left and upper right squares. Is someone trying to yell EEK!?

I can see fingers in the second and third one. The last one looks like a paw print...

The first one, I'm not sure ... my first impression was ... UFO !! :-) Is that a small plane flying under it or a bird?

Very cool shots !!

Figurative fingers.
I share your sorrow for loosing digital pictures, teh hard disk of my new computer HP touchsmart was out of working order a week ago, a bug in the Seagate firmware, so I must send back my computer to HP who has changed the disk without any restore of my data ( Seagate does it if you buy the disk directly to them !). I have lost a fortnight of pictures.
