Beautiful shots Tom, although I find myself wanting to look at what looks like a Chestnut in the foreground and see the reason for the basal growth (not a good sign) and the tree in the background (ash or oak?) with the basal cavity!
Hi Dancin' Well spotted with the trees, if you scroll down you will see the trees in my post Peaceful Pathways... I'm not sure what they are now... but the woods to the side of this field as lots of Oak, and Sweet Chestnut... some produce really good sized chestnuts, but you have to be there when they fall or the squirrels or Jays beat you to them. ha! Thank you for calling in.
