Header Challenge 29 'Tools Of The Trade'

Join in with all the Head Bangers as we go 'Head 2 Head' in this weeks Header Challenge. The theme this week was picked by Imac and is 'Tools Of The Trade'.

My header this week shows Knitting Needles.. strange tools indeed for a 6ft. 17st. chap from a northern mill town on the outskirts of Manchester. They are however the only tools of sort I use now. I took up knitting years ago to help stop smoking and found out I enjoyed it... I only knit for family and close friends now and mostly for the young ones as the pictures above show.

Imac is away this week sailing the high seas with his dear wife... and poor Darla as a family illness to contend with this week but would welcome your prays for her father.

Tom: Looks like an interesting and productive way to pass the time. I'm sure the young ones love them.

Amazing! You are a knitter ! Well done ! My sister in law who lives in England also knits toys - she makes the most wonderful characters! Her latest pieces are knitted 'food'!! I found that quite odd but she says they are popular at the moment - she sells them to the local shop

I use to do cross stitching but have never done needle point. Glasses don't help anymore to see the small squares. Maybe a magnifing glass... lol.

Good header.

So you're a nutty knitter. I've often wondered who Pearl was, as she was always in knitting patterns.

Wow, another hidden talent Tom. I'm very envious. I keep meaning to start up knitting again (after over 30 years). My sister knitted me a knitting bag at Christmas with needles, wool and pattern inside but I have yet to pick it up. I'm left handed and I cannot remember if I knit left handed or right:(

I don't knit--I sometimes wish I did but I really do not need any more hobbies. It looks like you really stay busy with it.

One of my quilting friends used to knit and crochet...then she quilted for years, now she is back to knitting and crocheting.
