Watching this Blue Tit brightened up a very dull morning. I am lucky enough to see a breeding pair of these throughout the day as they visit the Silver Birch trees at the bottom of our garden.
The first thing I did was take a double look, Tom. At first I took this to be one of our goldfinches which is totally yellow except for some black here and there.
Also, about the iPads. I have seen them and have imagined myself using one for this kind of thing. Blogging. But the keyboard is so small or smaller than normal and I might have problems typing on it. Have you been able to try one out. I haven't been out of the house in so long, except for today, that I don't know what i am missing at the computer store.
Thanks for your comment, my first thought too was a long tailed Tit but, as far as I know, and I have checked all the lists of imported birds, it was never introduced to Australia and in the 60 years I have lived here, I have never come across one before. May be it is a portend as the Tits are my favourite small birds and this summer past, I heard a Nightingale sing in our park. Again, I have only known them to exist 700km further north in Melbourne. I wonder what God is telling me???
Cool shots Tom. It hasn't been until this summer and I guess me being off my feet for three weeks with a bad knee and a computer virus for two has helped but, sitting in my sunroom watching the birds has been a real pleasure and a look into their world I had never experienced before. How they behave has been interesting. I wish I had the patience to video it all. I'm glad you saw my turkeys. That old Tom has been a delight to watch. And, I don't think for one minute he's better looking than you. :) Say hi to Jane.
