Blue Tit feeding in the snow.... there's not much benefit from bread alone at this time of year... so I spread beef dripping or bacon fat on the bread or mix some Castor sugar and egg yokes together and soak left over crusts in that over night. When temperatures drop below freezing every little helps.... I'm sure we will see a fall in numbers of our small birds after this cold snap.

Lovely pictures ! the poor little guys suffer from the cold too ! and I can't put anything in our garden because of my 5 cats ! Imagine !
