Header Challenge Movement

1971 Series 3 Land Rover

1969 Series2a Land Rover

I dedicate this set of pictures and this weeks 'Header' to my friend 'Leaky Roof' from Northern Land Rover Specialist in Ashton Under Lyne... a true gentleman and a man I am proud to know and call a friend.
Tonight's Header Challenge topic was picked by myself and is Movement... My header is made up from the pictures above which show the fun to be had by driving a 40 year old vehicle. These old Land Rovers are very basic but do get you there.... maybe a bit shaken if not stirred but they get you there. I am looking forward to seeing just what Fishing Guy , Imac , & Darla come up with. If you get the time nip over and see their headers... and feel free to give your view as to which you think is the best. Its a fun challenge with some friendly banter thrown in which we hope brings a few giggles along the way. I know the others have giggled every time I mentioned Movement.. ha!

You are the real James Bond of the outfit. No need for Q here.

You could get a job on Top Gear with that driving. Although when I get my new car (Fiat 500) it's going nowhere a muddy puddle!

Well Tom, you've definately captured movement, and it looks like fun too.
But, my vote goes to Darla because her movement is so subtle.
You were my last visit. Please let Darla know of my vote. Her blog is so big it takes forever for me to open it with dialup.

Thank you all who voted and let us all know your choices.... I was the lucky winner this week...... so until next week... I get to polish the shield.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I love your stories. It sounds like you had a similar childhood to me. I wore my older brother's clothes as he out grew them and then they were passed to my younger brother if they were in shape to do so. My mom would put patches on top of patches to get the maximum wear possible.

Tom, the old '71 sure is puffing the blue smoke jumping up the grade. That road looks like it would stop most vehicles dead!
