Tom -it was not easy to pic a favourite. I think I would have walked from one to the other and tried them all.

Bringing a sandwich and some thinking and enjoying.

Thanks Rune...
I have just realised that Pictures 1 & 2 are of the same bench.... still the views are good no matter which one you pick.

Tom: That is a beautiful park, great photos.

All of the benches are in great locations. Now that the days have turned chilly, sitting in the sun would be very pleasant.

I'll sit on the last bench Tom, that wall will keep the draft off, while I sit and look at the other scenes.

It is a nice park. Would this have been a part of the King's park system in the old days of Robin Hood?

Hi Abe...
Thanks for this comment... a very large part of this area was part of a massive forest that was kept just for hunting... poor folk would be killed for just being in it never mind being caught with any ill gotton gains. Like I'm sure you know ship building saw many of our forest cut down... then farms were built and villages would start to spring up... so when you say were these part of the kings forest in a way you are correct.

Many neat benches in your post. I love the second photo best! It is a beautiful area to go for a walk and then take a rest. I might try them all out the first time I walked by!

Hope you will visit my friend, malyss in France, bench blog too! She blogs a new bench almost daily like I do. If you don't have her link, you will find it on my sidebar of bench blog --think it is the first link at top of page. She also leaves a comment on Rune's blog when he does benches on Friday. Sometimes Rune links her blog too but not today.

Hi Tom,
I like them all. I would probably pick the first or third to sit on, unless it was a cool day, but to look at, the second is by far the best!
