I am joining in again with Fridays bench theme which I enjoy very much. If you want to see other benches visit the following places where I am sure you will not be disapointed. Rune's Ancient Benches is a classic. Gerald's Every Street in Manchester is a great play on words and then there's Kerri & Perbs fantastic Bench Blog I'm sure you will enjoy them all
This bench is part of a Sculpture trail within Cheethams park.... it really makes for an interesting walk... if you want to see other's from this walk scroll down to the posts I did at the beginning of the week.
I did rest here awhile, and I can tell you it was very comfy.... I rested my arm on the snakes head and got a few stares from passer-bys.
A bench not to missed, or should I say 'HISSED' ha!

That is a cool looking bench! I wonder when it was made and who made it.
Hi James... this bench and anumber of the other sculptures are new to this park... they were not here in the spring time... as I would have seen them then. I have tried finding a bit out about the artist.... there's a few who work with chain saws and chisles that do this kind of work...
I will post a reflection later today either here or on one of my other blogs... I will let you know when it's up.
WOW! That is definitely unique!!!!!! Never seen anything like it and am almost shocked they allowed you to sit there! Terrific find! It reminded me of the ones I found at the county fair where a man demonstrated hwo he made the benches with a chain saw. Super terrific fine. Thanks for sharing.
I can't remmber if you saw mine yet -- if not , stop by for a treat.
Tom - this time you win on beauty alone (the bench, of course...) :-) Or did I mean Jane?
Anyway, someone must have spent quite a rime on that one. Anyone would have liked to a have it in the garden.
Take care!
Grand piece of work there Tom, great shots too from the Old Master.
A very unique bench! The carving of the details on the snake head are well done.
I have a bench up today but not as nice as yours.

I can't wait to try this out. I can't believe it was comfortable.
Tom: That is certainly a curvy bench. It is all tied into SSSSSSSS'S.
Those are exquisite carvings on the bench! My first to see it. Its a master piece and very creative!
Outstanding talent from someone.
Nice shot Tom! Thanks for sharing it with us.
I don't like snakes so I'm not sure I'd be having a seat. :)
