Nice shots. I like the last one best, because I have been aware of gorse as prickly since I was a child listening to Winnie the Pooh stories, but I have never seen it before now.

So soft and beautiful, Tom. I love your photos.

Thanks for your comment on my blog, Tom. I'd like to share your story with my students, if that's OK. I read your words and thought of how much you have given me through your images, the things you write, and the background you provide about the towns and things you find along the way. You are quite the teacher yourself.

Those feathers are like those we used as a kid to make pillows and ticks or quilts. They were warm as toast to me. And mother used special tick material where the threads were woven so close together in the fabric that the pins in the smallest feathers could not work through, very often. But they did and would prick you and we always tried to push it back in but more often than not had to pull the feather out. So the bed would let some feathers fly when the quilts were fluffed up in the mornings.

Tom: Neat capture of the white feather, was it from a heron?

Something flew by, but left a memory for us to ponder upon.

You do use your eyes!
