Timber

As you all enjoyed the Gnome picture yesterday, I thought I'd show you this of me rolling around in the mud. Jane and I had just come off the moors as a mist was falling. I lost my footing and Timber..... I went down like a giant Redwood. Jane said the moors shook at I hit the ground. Now you would have thought Jane being such a nice person would have rushed to my aid.... no there was a chuckling sound from her direction.... and the command 'Hold that pose', Click went the camera then she fell about laughing.
This is a few years ago now, as Barny the Border Collie is no longer with us. I was reminded of this time today as Jane had another good laugh when I tripped up over a neighbours cat which calls daily to sit in our front room. Anyhow I did not see it till I stood on the poor thing.. I lifted my foot up quick, over balanced and fell against the living room door which I slid down onto my bum. Soft Landing was the first words from Jane.. ha! and I cannot repeat what I called the cat.

Commiserations Tom. You must admit it was a great photo opportunity though. Hope you'r not black and blue from the cat episode.

Always better to laugh than to cry.

LOL oh, you poor man. Lost your footing huh, no nipping involved was there. Just joking.

About falling over cats, we were visiting our son and his family one summer, I was in the kitchen area, they had two cats and two dogs, and since I was in the kitchen they all came running, I guess thinking I was going to feed them. I turned around and tried to side step one of the cats that I didn't know was there and went flat on my butt. Probably could never do it again if I tried, well at this age I wouldn't want to try it. But luckily only my pride was hurt. LOL

There is nothing like a good laugh to brighten the day, but I hope all went well with you (and the cat, of course).

I would have been laughing with Jane...Roger always says I would laugh if someone got killed. I am not that bad...I actually hold my breath almost till I see that someone is not seriously hurt. Then I laugh!

They say timing is everything, and Jane had great timing on this one. Unfortunately Tom had bad timing. I really enjoyed this photo, it brought a smile to my face. Thank you for sharing.
