Lichens and mosses can be very beautiful and fascinating if one takes the time to examine them closely. I love finding a deep bed of moss in an oldgrowth forest. To lie down on it and have a nap in the middle of the day is a great delight. I say this as one who loves camping except the part of sleeping of the hard ground. I suffer it for the joy of all the rest. So when I find a soft spot to nap, I take advantage of it.

This is beautiful stuff, Tom. I never paid that much attention to it around here. I will have to stop and look closer. I don't think I am able to get down that low again though so I might have to just bend over the point and hope for the best.

I have been on oxygen most of today. It is just humid enough that when I try to go outside I can't breathe so I have to come back in.

Where would I find stuff like this. It's gorgeous. Very alien though.
