These beauties and a lot more besides are swimming in the clear water of a tributary of the River Wye, which is the major river in the western part of the Peak District National Park. Derbyshire is a beautiful place to visit, and lucky for me is but a very short drive away. Thanks for your comments everyone.... and Patty, I do like trout, but it can be a bit bland.... I cook them in lemon with salt and pepper and a few mixed herbs.
Nice ones, Tom! I thought for a moment that you had started to take underwater photos - I envy you these.
PS I would have tried to fry them in a bit of butter, the lemon and herbs and then add a spot of sour cream to the for a sauce.

We had a great rainy early morning at the farmers' market where everyone was smiling and I still am although it is way past mid-night. I think you photos of fish are so much nicer in the water than strung up out of it.

Very nice photos of the fish. The water must be very clean. I've photographed fish...but not so successfully!
Beautiful shots, Tom. The water is so clear and the fish is so plain to see. I have never gotten a photo that clear of fish.
